Mindfulness Engineering in Action
Dr. Shima Beigi is the founder of Mindfulness Engineering, a STEM research scientist, an artist and a leadership coach. During her PhD at the University of Bristol, she developed Mindfulness Engineering and put forward a new approach in engineering and design that integrates neuroscience, human emotions and complexity of our systems with engineering. For the past two years she has extended her research in collaboration with Dr. Marios Kyriazis, in order to develop anti-ageing ambiences to fight against degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer, Dementia and Cancer. As of June 2017, she has been working on developing a Mobile Application for Brussels Smart Cities.
Zahra Zavareh is a sculptor and an artist working in Tehran, focusing on several forms of media. She mainly works in sculpting, and has participated in many group exhibitions. Since 2001, her work has been exhibited in shows such as The 5th Tehran Sculpture (2007), Three Generations of Iranian Sculptors (2010), and Art Habens art review (2015). Video installations have been shown in Limited Access Four and Five(2013-2014) and the Stockholm Fringe Festival (2017). During the last couple of years she has been heavily involved in the photographic project www.urialimage.com.
